Chapter 271 Jiang Ruan Officially Takes Over
Because Qin Mo had given prior notice, Jiang Ruan entered the Qin Group's president's office without any hindrance. Secretary Wen brought two cups of coffee and then left, making room for them to talk.
"Have you thought it through?" Qin Mo asked.
Jiang Ruan nodded: "Mm."
"This is the competency assessment task sheet." Qin Mo didn't say much, handing her a document. "Your task is to revive this company, get it operating normally and making a profit of ten million, while keeping employee turnover within a normal range."
Jiang Ruan took it and flipped through two pages.
The company has a well-established structure, simple departmental composition, and a small number of employees, only a few dozen. Its main business is providing medical systems for major hospitals.
She had no experience in this industry.
"Considering that you haven't received formal family training, I can give you a chance to back out." Qin Mo's gaze fell on her without much emotion, his nature cold and indifferent. "Go home now, and I will still give you 100 million every year."
"Can you hire people?" Jiang Ruan asked.
Qin Mo parted his thin lips slightly: "Sure, it's in the recruitment guidelines."
"As long as the company's net profit reaches ten million, the mission will be considered complete." Jiang Ruan closed the mission document.
Qin Mo: "Yes."
Jiang Ruan then asked, "On the day it's completed, you will sell me 20% of the Qin Group's shares at the original price."
Qin Mo: "That's right."
"Okay." Jiang Ruan already had a rough plan in mind. "I hope you can keep your word when that day comes."
Qin Mo asked Secretary Wen to see her off. Watching her receding figure, a rare seriousness appeared on his usually stern face.
A moment later.
He took out his phone and called Grandpa Qin: "I've handed the task over to her."
"Hmm." Old Master Qin still trusted him. "Keep an eye on your father and your second uncle during this time. Don't let them do anything underhanded."
"According to the rules, we cannot interfere even if there are external factors," Qin Mo reminded. "This is also part of the test."
Old Master Qin opened his mouth.
Before he could finish speaking, Qin Mo continued in a slightly cool tone, "I, Qin Luofeng, and Qin Jiangye are all the same."
“You all grew up in the Qin family, and you're all grown men, so it's only right that you do this.” Old Master Qin just wanted Jiang Ruan to focus on running the company peacefully, without being disturbed by messy external factors. “Ruan Ruan is a girl…”
"Grandpa," Qin Mo interrupted him.
Old Master Qin frowned slightly.
Qin Mo's tone was more serious than usual: "Why don't you try to believe her?"
After a moment of silence, Old Master Qin finally pretended to be angry and scolded him: "You just don't want to help, why are you making such a fuss?"
“Although she hasn’t received systematic training in the family, she has a certain drive,” Qin Mo analyzed rationally. “She might complete this task better than Jiang Ye.”
"That goes without saying." Old Master Qin both loved and hated his unambitious grandson. "After all, he's your aunt's child."
“It has nothing to do with whose child it is,” Qin Mo corrected him. “She herself has that possibility.”
My first meeting with Jiang Ruan.
He felt she had a bit of a temper, and her pure nature was written all over her face.
The same thing happened at the old house last time, but there were some changes compared to the first time we met. Although she was still as stubborn and inflexible as ever, I could clearly feel that she had grown a bit.
She has a certain energy, just like that person.
“I know you want to pamper her and love her, and you want your aunt to know that you are no longer the person who favors boys over girls.” Qin Mo’s voice was somewhat serious. “But true favoritism is to believe in her, always be her backup plan, and give her endless possibilities.”
"If you ask me, how could I not know?" Old Master Qin retorted without a second thought, but he silently remembered those words.
"Your trust in her stems from the fact that she is your aunt's daughter, not from the fact that she is Jiang Ruan," Qin Mo pointed out incisively.
Old Master Qin paused for a moment.
There was a brief silence on the other end of the phone.
"Take your time to think it over." Qin Mo stopped there. "I have something to do here, so I'll hang up now."
It took Grandpa Qin a while to recover. He thought about everything he had done during this time, and it all seemed to be to make up for what he had done to An'an...
It wasn't because of the child Ruan Ruan.
Jiang Ruan was aware of all of this.
But she didn't care. Having grown up in a warm environment, she was not lacking in love and could rationally see through everyone's feelings for her, including all the kindness that Grandpa Qin had shown her.
After leaving the Qin Group, she went home. According to the task description, her official start date was after the holiday. The first thing she did after getting home was to ask the company's HR for everyone's resumes.
She spent the next two days at home looking at resumes.
That day, she was carefully reviewing the resumes of the company's product manager and technical director when Su Zhu called her.
She answered the phone while watching: "Hello."
"Did you buy articles?" Su Zhu asked.
Jiang Ruan: "?"
Jiang Ruan's forehead was covered in question marks: "What press release?"
"My mom said her media company has received a lot of press releases about you." Su Zhu said this while sitting next to Qi Zhiyue, her eyes glued to the files on the computer screen. "You didn't buy them?"
"No," Jiang Ruan quickly denied. "Why would I buy that?"
"I thought you were afraid that Qin Muchuan and Qin Muchi would target you, so you deliberately made your identity public." Su Zhu and she had always been straightforward with each other.
"Buying press releases won't bring me any benefit." Jiang Ruan understood these things. "What kind of content would a press release contain? Smear campaign or something?"
“If you smear me, I won’t suspect that you bought it yourself.” Su Zhu flipped through several articles and told her what they contained. “They’re all about the return of the little princesses from the Li and Qin families, and how both families are happy.”
"Mom said if you asked someone to send this, she suggested you take it back."
“Wealthy families are not like the entertainment industry, where being famous or infamous is still fame. But in our industry, the more low-key we are, the better.”
Otherwise, she wouldn't have called to ask her.
A hint of doubt flashed in Jiang Ruan's eyes.
Such a press release should not have been written by Mr. Qin and Chairman Li. If it wasn't them, who would want her identity to be made public?
"Could Aunt Qi trace the person who gave you the manuscript to find the mastermind behind it?"
“It’s not easy to investigate. The person who had my mom’s company publish the press release is a third-party company,” Su Zhu explained to her. “But the person who published this press release didn’t have good intentions. It’s probably done by someone who’s unhappy with you.”
"Could you show me the contents of the press release?" Jiang Ruan asked.
After saying "okay," Su Zhu hung up the phone and sent her all the manuscripts that person had sent.
Jiang Ruan read through the announcements one by one, and after reading three, she finally understood why Su Zhu said that the person who issued the announcement had ill intentions.
Although every word in the article describes her as the long-lost little princess and the apple of the eye of the Li and Qin families, the article praises her too much.
Almost instantly.
She guessed that after the article was published, either an online army would be sent to attack it, or something else would happen to her.
