Chapter 25 The Talent of Explosion
"Hao Tianping wants me to visit him in prison?"
Lou Yuqing learned of this from the disciples in charge of law enforcement and couldn't help but show a surprised expression.
The enforcement disciple frankly stated, "You can choose to go or not."
"Then I'll go."
Lou Yuqing was curious as to why the other party had approached her, as she remembered that they didn't have much interaction.
Si Nidie watched the two figures leave, then turned her head, still eagerly awaiting Tan Sheng's answer.
Tan Sheng was somewhat embarrassed. This was the first time he had been chased by a female cultivator of his generation to introduce him to a potential partner. In the past, it was only elders of his mother's generation who did this.
"I like beautiful, elegant, and classy women, preferably those who share my interests so we'll never get bored," Tan Sheng described his ideal woman.
Just as Wu Fengshu's outward appearance suggested.
If Wu Fengshu hadn't revealed her terrible personality, she would have truly met Tan Sheng's criteria for choosing a spouse.
Si Nidie thought to herself, "These two seem to be destined for each other. In that case, why don't I play matchmaker and help this star-crossed couple get together?"
She smiled slightly, having made up her mind.
Meanwhile, Lou Yuqing followed the law enforcement disciples all the way to the confinement room.
Hearing the approaching footsteps, Hao Tianping perked up, stopped drawing talismans, and ran to the window of the solitary confinement cell to look out.
I rubbed my head against the window frame and finally saw a figure from a certain angle.
Soon, the figure magnified in his eyes, and the face became clearer. It was Lou Yuqing, who was looking puzzled.
She spoke to Hao Tianping through the window: "Senior Brother Hao, what do you need me for?"
Hao Tianping looked at her with a resentful expression: "Junior Sister Lou, you've finally arrived."
“They all told me that Captain Wei overheard your conversation and noticed that I had blown up the weapon-refining room before, which is why he punished me more.”
"Uh...maybe it's a misunderstanding? That's not what I meant."
Lou Yuqing smiled awkwardly. She hadn't expected the other party to find out the whole story, which made her feel a little sorry for them.
Regardless of the process, the result was that Hao Tianping was indeed given an additional penalty.
Hao Tianping snorted, somewhat unhappy. No one wanted to be locked up for three more months and have to copy the rules so many times, and he was no exception.
However, since things have come to this point, he is not here to pursue any responsibility.
"I have something relatively easy to do, something I could do myself, but I can't get out of the confinement room right now. Could you help me out, Junior Sister Lou?" Hao Tianping said.
Lou Yuqing was taken aback upon hearing this. It seemed that this was the other party's true purpose. She smiled and said, "I wonder what Senior Brother Hao is referring to? If it is within my power, I will certainly not refuse."
Hao Tianping said with a happy expression, "This is simple. I have a friend who wants to join the Wendao Sect. I would like to trouble Junior Sister Lou to make arrangements for him on the day of the Spirit Testing Conference. I will go to see him after my confinement ends and tell him not to rush."
It really wasn't difficult.
Lou Yuqing readily agreed: "Sure, no problem."
Three days later is the Spirit Testing Conference of Wendao Sect, something she already knew. The conference is held every five years, and each time it helps the sect recruit many promising young immortals.
There are two types of people: one is ordinary people whose spiritual roots have not been tested, and the other is cultivators who have already cultivated. As long as they meet the requirements of the sect, they can become disciples of the Wendao Sect.
Lou Yuqing noted down the name Hao Tianping had told her, then glanced around and noticed many talisman papers on the table in the room. She asked in surprise, "Senior Brother Hao, you can draw talismans?"
Hao Tianping smiled smugly: "I just learned it. Refining weapons and alchemy are not my forte. I tried drawing talismans, and it turns out my talent lies in this."
"Congratulations, senior brother."
Lou Yuqing finished speaking politely and then prepared to leave.
Just then, a whooshing sound suddenly rang out, sounding like something was being set on fire.
Hao Tianping's expression changed drastically: "Let's go!"
What?
Before Lou Yuqing could figure out what was going on, a force as strong as a mountain suddenly pushed her away, sending her flying far away.
"Boom!"
The earth-shattering roars rang out almost simultaneously, so loud they nearly ruptured eardrums, followed by a violent earthquake.
The sudden explosion drowned out all the disciples' screams, and Lou Yuqing looked ahead in shock.
The confinement cell was now a ruin, with countless fragments scattered everywhere, leaving jagged marks, and billowing smoke obscuring her vision.
"Senior Brother Hao?"
Lou Yuqing's heart tightened involuntarily.
She was able to escape unharmed thanks to the protective treasure bestowed upon her by her master, but Senior Brother Hao was at the center of the explosion. Could he have died?
"Cough cough!"
A blurry figure crawled out of the ruins, its hair disheveled, its clothes tattered, and its body covered in wounds, many of which were embedded with stones, making it a shocking sight.
"Junior Sister Lou!"
The man got up and leaned against the wall, looking around anxiously. His gray cat-like face was filled with worry. He was Hao Tianping, who had miraculously survived the explosion.
How can it still be so lively and energetic?!
Lou Yuqing was bewildered for a moment before saying, "I'm here."
Hao Tianping grinned, revealing a row of white teeth: "It's good that you're alright."
Lou Yuqing looked at him with a complicated expression: "Senior Brother Hao, are you sure you have a talent for drawing talismans?"
"This...this..." Hao Tianping stammered, unable to speak.
Lou Yuqing's scathing comment: "Your talent is explosive!"
How about switching careers and becoming a chemist?
Although she didn't say it aloud, she felt that the other person was a good match.
Hao Tianping: "..." No way.
He just wants to learn a skill that can make money, why is it so difficult?
What's giving him a headache is that it seems he'll have to lose money for the sect again.
As a large group of law enforcement disciples surged over, Hao Tianping felt his life was plunged into darkness.
To date, he has not only failed to earn a single spirit stone, but has also lost a significant portion of his wealth, resulting in a severe reduction in his income.
The Hall of Law Enforcement.
Kui Houming looked at Hao Tianping, whose injuries had been healed, and frowned: "Hao Tianping, you were still not behaving yourself in the confinement room. You blew up another building of the sect."
Hao Tianping felt wronged but didn't say anything: "This disciple accepts the punishment."
After all, he did the right thing. If the solitary confinement chamber hadn't been made of sturdy material, it might have affected the other disciples in the chamber as well.
The white-robed healer stood aside, shaking his head. The mystery in his heart remained unsolved. Just like last time, Hao Tianping had only suffered minor injuries.
He examined Hao Tianping thoroughly. Hao Tianping had never practiced physical training; how could he withstand the damage from the explosion?
Was it simply good luck?
As it turns out, there really are people like this who constantly teeter on the brink of death but always manage to pull through.
It's not entirely accurate to say he's lucky, but it's also not entirely accurate to say he's unlucky.
