Daylight begins quietly, a gentle light saluting the departing crew as it reflects into the sea and then illuminates the pirate flag, as if a white light were rising, like a ghost.

Billy stood silently at the stern, wondering why he had boarded a pirate ship.

The agent I met just yesterday claimed to be a famous captain, saying that neither wind nor waves could faze him. He stood at the bow of the ship like a triumphant general, watching the sun rise from the sea, the roaring ocean commanding the waves to crash against his face.

Unmoved!

He might really be a captain!

This agent, a former captain, held an octant, spent ten seconds checking the wooden frame on the logger, another ten seconds looking at the hourglass, sometimes adjusting the port side, sometimes observing the blue sky, and lowering the three-masted sail.

Yes, this is a huge three-masted warship, fifty meters long and fifteen meters wide, with three main masts, each forty meters high, and a gilded goddess statue holding a telescope standing at the bow.

That's not even the scariest part.

This giant ship had three gun decks, with about a dozen cannons and several giant short cannons.

The only drawback is that it is powered by wind, not by magic path energy.

"After sailing another five nautical miles, we will see the first lighthouse," the captain explained. "Each lighthouse is eight nautical miles apart, and under normal circumstances, the lighthouses can easily illuminate groups of Naga. Of course, I'm talking about normal circumstances."

"Before we discuss the Naga, I'd like to know, where did you get this ship from?" Billis asked.

"Ah, you're not the first to ask a question. I'm the only one in the Brave Alliance who knows the shipping lanes. My code name is Navigator. I've been a sailor since I was a child. I can fight and drink.

"And there's also indecent behavior."

"Ah, you're right."

"You still haven't answered me why it's a pirate ship, instead of a more advanced modern vessel powered by magic energy."

"Did you see the statue on the prow? I fell in love with it at first sight, so I only want this ship!"

The captain's answer was baffling; he showed absolutely no signs of being a secret agent.

However, it is precisely because they cannot see that they are suitable to become secret agents.

The pirate ship sailed past six lighthouses before the seventh lighthouse collapsed in a tsunami.

The gravel slabs were wet and looked like handprints. Of course, no one walks on their hands, so it must have been some kind of claw. Where the claws touched, cracks appeared. In the lighthouse doors and corridors, sponge-like tentacles could be vaguely seen.

Billy's heart skipped a beat, as if he had been electrocuted, thinking that he had encountered a wizard again. Fighting a wizard at sea would be very disadvantageous for him.

Fortunately, the pirate ship quickly passed by, and the things inside the lighthouse ruins dared not come out.

However, we must face whatever is to come, whether it be hurricanes, lightning, torrential rain, or hordes of Naga.

As night fell, the pirate ship floated quietly, and the team of agents prepared to go into the ship's cabin to rest.

Billy was the last to leave the upper deck. He groped his way into the lower deck and saw a man who was shirtless, wearing only a pair of very short shorts and high-top shoes.

A figure was revealed, with a thick chest, a sturdy body, and skin as dark and shiny as bronze. Every muscle in his body was bulging with energy, especially his face.

Billis had never seen this face before!

"who?"

Upon hearing the sound, the man casually grabbed a wooden bucket and rolled it toward Billis.

Billy jumped over the barrel and chased after the suspicious man, who was running towards the far end of the corridor and disappeared around the corner.

There were no signs of damage, so there was only one possibility: he had hidden in the innermost room.

Billis knocked gently on the door, but the captain's voice came from inside.

"Who's knocking! Oh! Don't speak, let me guess! It must be you. Being with that jerk makes you lonely, doesn't it? I knew you'd come looking for me at night, so I'm coming to open the door!"

The captain opened the door, only to see Billy standing outside. His face immediately fell.

"No! Why you? Get away! My orientation is perfectly normal!"

The captain tried to lock the door, but Billy pushed it back with one hand, preventing him from closing it.

"Wait a minute! Is there anyone else in your room?"

"Damn it! I told you, my orientation is perfectly normal!"

"What I'm asking is completely different from what you're saying! Just now, I saw a stranger in the hallway. He has a similar build to you, but his face is different. I suspect he's hiding here with you."

"What do you mean? You're suddenly telling me there's a stranger hiding on this ship? Or do you say I have a twin brother? Fine, if you don't trust me, you can jump into the sea right now, I won't stop you. But the elf has to stay; I need a companion."

*Snap!* Billis locked the door himself.

If the captain is telling the truth, then who did he see?

The next morning, while the captain was away from the lower deck, Billy checked each room by himself and found that none of the rooms were locked, as if the captain had deliberately left the doors open to prove his innocence.

After a thorough inspection, it was confirmed that there were indeed only four people on the three-masted warship.

Later, the waves grew higher and higher, and the ship was about to enter the deep sea.

The captain played a joke on everyone, saying that there used to be a landmass here, but it disappeared completely, and the underwater structures that suddenly appeared in Seagull City originally belonged to that landmass.

The captain also said not to expect to find any treasure in the deep sea, because West Coast Energy has already emptied the treasure trove.

He's actually quite right; the three million square kilometers starting from here all belong to the energy company.

A faint force surged up from the seabed, and a huge wave suddenly rose up on the starboard side of the ship, crashing onto the deck.

Billy grabbed the mainmast to avoid being swept away by the waves.

Mia shouted, "Look! There's someone over there!"

Following the direction Mia pointed, pieces of broken deck appeared, seemingly part of the wrecked ship.

On one of the decks, a victim lies.

The captain retrieved the bodies from the water and searched them thoroughly like a treasure trove, finally finding a nameplate on the back with the energy company's employee number engraved on it.

"An employee of an exploration platform?"

The nameplate was forged from northern bloodstone at high temperatures and was quite valuable. The captain casually stuffed it into his pocket.

"What else did you find?" Mia asked.

The captain stared at her intently, then smiled and said, "I also noticed your clothes are wet."

Mia glared at Aisha and had no choice but to run back to the ship's cabin with her to change clothes.

At this moment, only Billy and the captain, who had more sailing experience than the agents, were on deck.

Billy wanted to smoke, but his cigarette got wet.

The captain handed him a dry cigarette, clearly having used a barrier spell the instant the waves crashed down.

“Thank you.” Billis took the cigarette and said, “You let them leave on purpose, didn’t you? It was calm just now, but suddenly a huge wave appeared. It must be some kind of magic.”

The captain, unusually serious, said, "You're looking for Leviathan, aren't you? I can tell you, it came here before and left its mark. The waves we just saw were the aftershocks of its departure."

Are you sure?

"But that was probably a week ago. If it had happened yesterday, we would probably have been buried by the waves."

Why did you only tell me?

The captain's eyes suddenly gleamed with a long-hidden light: "Are you Lisa's husband?"

Billy's eyes widened. "You know her?" he asked.

"I don't know her, but I did work in the intelligence group before. They're looking for information about her. Why? You know best. She's special, and people have already noticed her."

"Who are you?"

“Who I am is not important, but you must understand that we are on the same side. Leviathan has awakened, there is no doubt about it, but the people above say it is still asleep. You see, while I am helping you, you also have to consider me. Please do not search the room everywhere, it will not do you any good.”

The captain's identity remains a mystery, but Billis believes that the fact that he dared to speak the truth so directly must mean he needs something from him.

Where do you think my wife will go?

"I think the same thing you think: she went to Leviathan."

"Headquarters didn't send any reinforcements at all, did they?"

"Oh, I hate talking to smart people. Yes, I asked for this mission myself."

What is your purpose?

"You help me, I help you, we share information, and don't ask anything else, otherwise I won't help you."

By this time, Mia and Aisha had changed their clothes and returned to the upper deck.

The captain reverted to his greedy pirate self, as if he too wanted to find extra treasures from the two women, staring intently at their bright skin.

Billy also learned something from the captain: concealing one's identity is an essential skill for secret agents.
