Chapter 33 Your Name

If we were to name the most magnificent house in the Hobrick area, it would undoubtedly be the castle that Billies had just purchased; it was built like a grand theater.
The castle is surrounded by a stone wall that stretches for a kilometer, beyond which flows a river. To the east stands a large white marble gate, with an identical gate facing to the west.
To enter the castle through the two gates, one must ascend sixty steps. Anyone knowledgeable in mathematics or geometry, or any draftsman or sculptor, was invited to design and build this castle.
The north wall of the castle has corner towers made of snow-white plaster and red coral, while the magnificent reliefs, paintings, patterns and statues on the other three towers each represent beauty and youth, joy and wealth.
However, Lisa asked Billis to remove the huge floral painting on the front of the hall, because the painting depicted alluring and domineering love scenes, which could make guests uncomfortable.
Indeed, there are several other similar paintings, including those found in the courtyard and passageways. Perhaps the original owner of the castle was a true nobleman who needed to fill his life with human pleasure and banquets.
On the first day of moving into his new home, Biris hired orc workers to remove some of the unsightly nude statues, leaving only the goddess statue with a rose wreath on her head and a seven-stringed lyre in her hand.
The next day, Billis summoned several more light elf artists to paint a row of forest landscapes on the blank wall, covering up the original, unadorned paintings.
On the third day, dozens of goblin porters came to the castle and took away everything that was no longer needed from the edges of the castle and the cellar.
On the fourth day, three flying harpy cleaners scrubbed all the glass in the castle until it was spotless, and every pillar in the hall shone like obsidian.
On the fifth day, the Billies family moved into the castle.
As originally planned, Mr. and Mrs. Billies lived in the main building, and the angels lived in the annex. They enjoyed a week of blissful days.
Then he remembered something.
"Shouldn't we give our princess a name?"
"That's right! It's time to choose a name, but have you decided on one yet?"
"Helen, Pandora, Freya..."
"Wait a minute! What you're saying are all examples of femme fatales."
"Really? Then let me think of another one, Elsa, yes, let's call her Elsa!"
"No, her name can't be similar to mine."
"No, let's call her Elsa, darling, because I really can't think of any other name."
A cat suddenly leaped onto the coffee table, knocking over a glass and startling the Billies. But it didn't seem to have any ill intentions; it just seemed eager to pass on the name Elsa to someone after hearing someone mention her.
One cat, two cats, three cats—more and more stray cats appeared on the city walls, on the vines of the towers, and at the corners of the chairs, as if invited by the castle's owners. In fact, the Billies had no habit of keeping pets at all.
So where did these cats come from?
It turned out that they were attracted by the silvery singing voice; someone was singing in the annex.
The Billies couldn't understand the lyrics of that song, so why did they feel pity after listening to it? Every note seemed to come from heavenly love, and the light from the stars happened to envelop the tower and the castle.
This is fate; Elsa was destined to be her name.
The Billies woke up with a start and exclaimed in unison, "My God, it's like descending to earth!"
The two couldn't wait to go to Elsa's room, but as soon as they entered, they were terrified by the many 'little friends' around.
A warbler perched on a harp, plucking the strings with its claws; two plump white rabbits took out a fur hat from the wardrobe and used it as a nest; three guinea pigs carried fruit grass and vegetable leaves, tirelessly preparing to gnaw on their teeth; a wildcat and a little brown bear also came to the room to join in the fun, spending a lot of effort decorating the room.
Elsa must have been tired from singing; she had just fallen asleep on the velvet blanket.
Although she looks like she's almost an adult, in the eyes of the Billies, she's still a child. Her pair of pure white wings represent purity, and her flawless skin is so alluring and lovable. She seems to have descended upon this family with a divine message.
Undoubtedly, she is the purest and most innocent being in this vast alien world.
The Billies quietly left the room.
"Is it safe to leave her home alone?" Lisa suddenly asked.
"Elsa has already proven her strength in front of that stinky wizard."
That's not what I meant.
"Ah, I won't let you think too much. If you do, it will break my heart!"
"Get serious!"
"Yes, madam!"
"Those guys won't let any powerful creature go; it's all for the sake of resurrecting their Demon King."
"So you were worried she'd be targeted! Darling, you're amazing! But I can't leave that responsibility to you, because Elsa was the one I brought back."
"But you are a half-reincarnated being."
"That's really hurtful! But I've already thought of a way to deal with it."
"What method?"
"Use the golem."
"You want the golem to become a substitute puppet?"
"Isn't he handsome?"
Billis told Lisa about the method the scholar Tom had taught him, and Lisa decided to prepare a golem for her husband immediately. However, after searching online, she discovered that making a golem was not as simple as she had imagined. All its materials, even a clump of loose clay, could only be collected under special conditions and climates.
Moreover, the creation of a golem often takes several months or even half a year. The size, materials, complexity, and craftsmanship of the important joints all need to go through several steps. In addition, carving, casting, and painting should also be considered.
This is only the time required for the first stage of manufacturing. The golems that have just come out of the furnace are no different from scrap metal. They must be enchanted by mages and warlocks and have hidden resistance materials added before they can be used.
Therefore, the only option is to have someone else make it.
So who should we get to make it?
The first thing that comes to mind is to find a dwarf craftsman.
Lisa quickly found a general store online called Golem's Golem Shop, but the owner of the store was not a dwarf craftsman, but a tiger alchemist who partnered with the elf Pik.
The address of the Golem Museum is not clearly described, but it is roughly located west of Hobrick, past Milltown, between Salontown and Organ Heights.
However, those who have been there know that there is only an uninhabited underground city, which is part of the legendary ancient Podrolite dynasty that was destroyed in legend.
Despite having to catch the 7:30 a.m. cogwheel train, the Billies still wanted to visit the tiger alchemist.
They set off on the morning of the second day and did not get off the train until noon on the third day.
Lisa then took Billis on a short flight of three miles, and when they got tired, they rested briefly in the bushes.
Although it is also part of the Hobrick Plain, the terrain here is more characterized by mountains and hills, with only a few villages. When viewed from the mountains, it looks like a place where mice often burrow, with densely packed caves covering the mountains.
Someone on the mountain blew a ram's horn, but the sound disappeared halfway through its journey.
Only Lisa could clearly see a person in the distance. The person was agile and wore a striped silk belt. The style of the clothes resembled those of a weasel.
She was certain it was a woman, and a tiger-woman at that.
“I think we’ve arrived,” Lisa said.
Billis put his hand to his forehead, gazing into the distance as he asked, "Where? Where?"
"Right beneath our feet."
Are you sure?
“Since this is the underground city of Gupodrot, those caves must be connected together.”
"It's a small place with few people and plenty of space, and it's also a great place where you don't have to pay off a loan. It's just that the location is a bit remote. But if I choose to open a shop in this kind of place, won't it cause trouble for customers?"
"Shh, don't speak yet, let me hear what that sound is."
Billis couldn't hear the voice Lisa was talking about at all; instead, he felt as if a cold knife had suddenly pierced his heart.
The air grew colder and colder, and there were indeed unseen things around. Phosphorescent flames suddenly burst forth from the bushes where wild rabbits should have been hiding, and the light blades, which shone brightly even in the daytime, easily cut through strong tree branches with a casual wave.
Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be two walking weapons: a glowing sword and a glowing shield, with just enough space between them to allow for the distance of a human body.
"Be careful, that guy can become invisible."
"If he wanted to be invisible, why was he holding up a glowing weapon so we could see him?"
Just as Lisa had said, the invisible man had simply cut down the overgrown branches to make it easier for the guests to pass.
The Billies followed the two weapons to a stone gate covered in vines, which resembled the entrance to a temple, the magnificent and ancient hall of which had long since been transformed into the mountains themselves.
The stone door opened smoothly without any extra stones falling down. As the light disappeared, the shadow appeared. The invisible man that the Billies saw was actually just a walking, dim light. Because of the bright sunlight outside, the dim light was invisible. Once they entered the dark underground city, this swaying thing became visible.
It has no sound and no discernible shape.
The dim light led the guests into the first stone cave. The stone door opened from bottom to top like a roller shutter, and a tiger-woman wearing an apron and with skin as white as morning milk walked out.
